Welcome! Here’s a posy picked from the garden at Cosmos St Lucia. Breath deeply, you can almost smell the tropical beauty. Read on to get closer to your Covid-19 safe vacation in St Lucia.

There’s no denying we’re all living through challenging times, and the pandemic’s not over yet. But there’s one thing we know for sure: human beings benefit from time out to rejuvinate. This is essential to better face the uncertainty of current daily life so we’re delighted to share we are one of the first villas on the island to re-open. We’ve received Covid-19 certification from the Ministry of Tourism St Lucia and have established Covid-19 safety protocol to the highest standards.

With so much conflicting information flying around, this blog post shares the priorities in what to look for in order to book a Covid-19 safe vacation with confidence.

Follow the health and safety protocol

St Lucia and the rest of the Caribbean have suffered little, relative to other areas hard hit by Covid-19, as shown on this dashboard by The Ministry of Health and Wellness. It’s our collective duty to do our utmost to protect visitors to the island and the local population, and we ask our guests to be diligent in their efforts to comply with all guidelines.

Guests must meet all St Lucia Tourism Authority requirements prior to arrival, and must adhere to the Government’s visitor guidelines whilst in St Lucia. Please read our guidelines specifically developed to protect Cosmos guests, our employees, our community and all essential workers.

Relax safely at Cosmos St Lucia

Choose open-air over enclosed spaces

There is mounting scientific evidence suggesting coronavirus is airborne, meaning enclosed, confined spaces make the virus transmission more likely.

Positioned high on the hillside, Cosmos is an extraordinary open-air experience. In every room at least one wall is open to stunning views and all benefit from cooling North tradewinds. Teak screens with concertina doors can be closed by staff as needed. All rooms also have ceiling fans. In addition to the indoor Cook’s Kitchen, there is an outdoor kitchen with a barbeque, pizza oven and bar fridge, with adjacent al-fresco seating.

A private paradise you don’t need to leave

Well, until your vacation ends!

Renting a private property reduces the amount of interactions you have, and you won’t have to encounter crowded common spaces or cluster around check-in desks. It’s much easier to socially distance when you have an entire space to yourself.

With plenty of room to spread out, you may easily enjoy your entire vacation at Cosmos. Bring a yoga mat to boost your practice with the next-level energy, your binoculars for bird watching (we have a soft spot for the Hummingbirds) and a pack of cards for evening games. Swim laps in our 48’ infinity pool by day, and kick back watching movies in the Pavilion Lounge in the evening. Or just enjoy making memories with your loved ones.

And if you choose to explore the local area, our House Manager Shermika can advise you on hillside walks, beach access and standard safety protocol, as well as organising Covid-19 certified activities, including boat and land tours. Our guests will have access to Malgre Tout beach which has lounge chairs, washroom facilities and a restaurant. There is a $20 cost per person for the day, and the beach is a 15 minute taxi ride from Cosmos.

Reunite with loved ones in a safe space

Spending time with the people you care about is part of human nature; our instinct is to be social, to seek connection, to give and receive love. Finding a place to do just that, as safely as possible, is the challenge.

With accommodation for 14-16 guests, Cosmos is ideal for those who want to reunite with loved ones. Whether that’s a multi-generational vacation – the fastest growing vacation trend of this year – or a group of friends committing to quality catch-up time, there’s a variety of space across the property for those quieter, more introspective moments too.

And if you have something special to celebrate while you’re here, our unique setting offers the most intimate birthday, anniversary and wedding venue in St Lucia.

Honeymooners escape

Seclusion has never been more important for soon-to-be newlyweds seeking a special place to mark the start of their marriage. The Lodge at Cosmos St Lucia can be rented separately as it enjoys a completely private location on the property; it does not overlook, nor is it overlooked by the villa. The Lodge offers stunning studio-style accommodation with its own private kitchen, plunge pool and sun deck. Unsurprisingly, many guests book The Lodge as a honeymoon suite.

Cosmos St Lucia has it covered

We won’t lie, it’s been a tough year, as it has for so many people all over the world. We’re grateful for the hard work and support of the St Lucia Government, The Ministry of Health, the Villa Rental Association of St Lucia, and to so many guests who had to cancel their vacation this year, but have already rebooked for 2021. Whether you are coming this month or next year, we can’t wait to see you! We hope this blog is helpful for you to plan a  safe vacation.
